He was borned on the 8th
of august 1926 in Argentina,
became good friend with Fangio
and went to Italy.
In 1960 he took part in the 8th
Italian Gran Prix with a
Cooper-Climax of the "Scuderia
Colonia" and was placed 8th,
five laps behind the first,
Phil Hill. Later he founded the
"Carrozzeria Sports Cars" in Modena/Italy, via Emilia Ovest 362,
and realized his ideas of car design and coach-building.
I think, he has made some of the most beautiful cars in the world
(Dino 206S, his GTOs or the famous "Nembo" at the picture left).
A friend told me, that he must have been a funny guy, maybe a playboy -
but surely someone, who loved the life and was knowing how to enjoy it.
On the 28th of April 1973 he died by a car accident -
naturally in a Ferrari, with a big cigar in his mouth.
With the help of my friends I found pics and informations on Drogo's cars.
